Sorry for the lack of new posts, but In the meantime...
In the meantime while you wait for me to get around to posting an update, here's a few especially inspirational links that I figured I'd pass along to all of you fine folks out there in Blogdom.
First off, the man who's artistic talent and sensibilities in eclipsed only by his insanely entertaining laugh... Eddie Fitzgerald has finally started up a blog of his own after much anticipation. He's off to an amazing start with a new post every day, and I for one am addicted to
Uncle Eddie's Theory Corner
Next up are links to two flick sets I stumbled upon from Ben Perry of Berlin, Germany who has graciously scanned and shared what seems like a bajillion incredible images from old WW2 posters as well as some equally wonderous old Russian Posters. No matter what industry you are in or where you're general interests lie, you'd have to be beyond comatose to not find inspiration in multiple images from either of these sets - take my word for it. Wether you're looking for inspirational reference examples of color, style, technique, typography, layout, compostion, or just to kill several hours during a slow day at work, then I implore you click and explore the following links.
WWII Posters
Russian Posters
Thanks to all of you who still bother to stop by this blog looking for new posts. I promise that more is on the way very soon if you are patient enough to wait until I dig myself out from under the current heap of work, freelance, and other day to day crap I have on my plate at the moment.
