Well here's something rather rare and extraordinary for you guys.
The amazingly talented Bill Wray has been kind enough to supply me with a few examples of some of Mel Crawfords original golden book paintings from "Rootie Kazootie - Baseball Star"

Now I have never EVER come across a Mel Crawford original painting from his golden books work ANYWHERE - let alone from one of his BEST forays into that world. Looking at these scans tells me so much more about Crawfords technique and approach to the paintings than even the most well printed version of the book that exists. I can only imagine what it is to look upon these beauties with your own naked eyes.

Very interesting points in your blog it sure cleared many questions that I may have had. I loved it because I did learn a lot from it because of it.
